"We stayed at the house on Marsh Dunes Road when we came to the area for my niece's graduation from Marine Corps basic training.  Since she made honor graduate we had even more family who made the trip who were staying in several different places.  This home made it possible to have everyone over for lunch to visit and congratulate our newest Marine without feeling cramped or uncomfortable, or having to spend time in a restaurant.  The house was exactly as advertised, the only thing that surprised us was the incredible deer population and how close to the house they came!  It was so beautiful, private, and picturesque on the island we couldn't have asked for more. I highly recommend the property, the owners, and the entire rental experience.  Thanks for helping us make a wonderful memory!"

  "My son graduated on January 16, 2009 from Parris Island, SC...USMC Boot Camp. We rented this beautiful house due to the fact that there were 10 of us attending the graduation. We arrived Wed 01/14/09 and left Sat 01/17/09.

I am so glad we rented this house. It is very "homey" feeling and pleasant to come back to after being at Parris Island. There are many pleasant features to this house but the bathrooms and the showers are amazing. The water pressure and shower heads were of SPA quality! My new Marine loved them too!

The kitchen was our focal point for most of the stay. There is a kitchen island with a sink and bar stool like chairs around it. There is also a large corner table so we had plenty of room to spread out and be happy and comfortable. The den or living room had a very comfortable couch and 2 very comfortable chairs with matching ottomans. This room was good sized yet cozy.

There are 4 bedrooms. One downstairs and 3 upstairs. The king bedroom is very large and has a sitting room that you pass through on the way to the bathroom that could easily be a small 5th bedroom. Ideal for anyone but especially children to keep near you. The other 2 bedrooms are spacious. ALL the beds were VERY comfortable and all linens were included.

This is an old Aquarium that the Christmus Family has redone, yet kept all the old southern charm.

There are porches in the front and back so, if you need time to yourself or would rather gather outside....you have your choice!

One last thing, the walls in this house are very insulated so when you want to nap or sleep..it is VERY quiet. There were a couple of bad snore'ers with us and we never heard them from our room!

I highly recommend this house for USMC Graduation, vacation, Family get togethers or for any reason...short or long AND  the Christmus Family. They were a pleasure to deal with the communication was excellent.

 "What a wonderful place to stay! This was the first time we have stayed in a vacation rental.

The home is lovely, was very comfortable, and was just a very short walk to town and the wonderful shops and restaurants. The owners have done a great job. It is beautifully furnished. In fact, our daughter said to tell the owners that she wants to come back with a U-Haul and take the furnishings with her. And, if she could, she would take the house too!!

I certainly would recommend this home to all that are interested in coming to the Beaufort area. It is especially well suited for families coming to the area for the graduation ceremonies at Parris Island, which was our reason for coming!

"My son graduated from Parris Island in September.  With a family of eight we needed three hotel rooms.  Then we found Christmus Properties. Instead of three dreary rooms in a hotel, we stayed in a wonderful home in an exclusive neighborhood.  We got to live like rich people for a few days.  The home was like out of a movie.  It was really big and had everything you could ever want. We also got beach passes for a nearby private beach and resort.  We were within minutes of Parris Island.  We had the most wonderful time.  We stayed for a couple days after my son graduated so he to could enjoy living like a millionaire. The Christmus family gets my family's highest praise"

“Our daughter graduated from MCRD Parris Island on January 8, 2010. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. The weather was less than perfect and extremely cold while we were there and I must say the house was beautifully heated throughout! That’s surprising for such an old historic home! We had a group of 13 people and the house was perfect for a group this large. The location was an easy drive to the base and nearby restaurants and shops. 

 

We would like to thank the Christmus Family for opening up their beautiful home to us and making our stay in Beaufort a memorable one. "We spent Christmas in this beautiful refinished  home.  It was decorated for the Holidays and we felt right at home.  There were 6 adults and 2 children (one a brand new baby) so we packed the house but we never felt like we were cramped.  It was well maintained and they had done a wonderful job on refurnishing the home. Everything was where they said it would be and it was easy to just move into.   It is close to downtown and we would walk there several times a day, including most evenings for the evening meal.  A play ground was within walking distance for the grandkid and grandfather.  We walked a lot in the neighborhood, enjoying the architecture, water, plant life.  It felt very safe and we never worried about anything.  Thanks for letting us stay in the home, and we look forward to another visit."

Lady's Island Home

  "Wow! What a nice place. My family and I stayed to attend my nephew's boot camp graduation. We all loved the place. We were able to visit with each other and relax in the hot tub and pool. Beautiful setting too. Some of my sisters walked outside to relax by the water. I only wished that we had more time to spend there and highly recommend renting this house to anyone wanting a relaxing visit to the Beaufort, SC area."
